The Agavero company was founded in 1857 by Lazaro Gallardo. Shortly thereafter, in the heart of the Tequila growing region at the Los Camichines Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, Gallardo created “Agavero Tequila Liqueur” naming it after the “Blue Agave” plant from which Agavero is made. After several generations, Agavero is still hand-produced, using Master Gallardo’s secret formula, in limited quantities using only the finest 100% blue agave reposado and anejo tequilas with the addition of a special touch of Damiana flower. Damiana flower is indigenous to the hot mountains of Jalisco and is thought to be an aphrodesiac. Enjoy Agavero for its smooth flavour and complex bouquet on its own, on the rocks with a twist of lime and orange, or in a delicious coffee.
