Mexcal, the original agave spirit of Mexico, has a 400 year old tradition. The ten year old agave plants are harvested only for their hearts. These are roasted with oak logs in an undeground pit. When cooked they are sweetened with sugar. The hearts are mashed and fermented, then double distilled into a fiery, smooth tast spirit called Mezcal. For extra excitement, a real scorpion is added to Scorpion Mezcal Reposado. It has been processed so that you can eat it, if you dare!
