The Metropolis bottle depicts Zygmunt’s column: symbol of the Royal power in the independent Poland. It portrays King Zygmunt III from the Wasa Dynasty (1556-1632) with sword and cross representing him as protector of the country and its religion. Koneser, the vodka factory that distills Metropolis was, purportedly, the first factory in Warsaw to have electricity. Metropolis vodka is made up of both potato spirits and corn spirits. The potato spirits give Metropolis its delicate and slightly sweet taste whilst the corn spirits provide the spirit with a hint of spiciness.
