Moon Dog XII Rye BA Peated Imperial Stout

Ol’ Smokey has blazed a trail and created an iconic legacy. A peaty stout that is aged in different barrels each year feels like “new craft” and “old as time” kind of brewing all at once. Ancient and New. Undying and immediate, kinda like our deaths-head mate Ol’ Smokey.

The approach to brewing and aging this legacy beer hasn’t changed, and wont. The recipe you know and love has a new highlight from rolled triticale, a hybrid of wheat and rye. The barrels used for cellaring this vintage were Australian rye whiskey barrels. The result is smooth, oaky and absolutely shmokin’.
